This research group explores the effect of misinformation on minorities’ health in the USA. Anne Gallo looks at how bias and lack of knowledge about  LGBTQ+ people and their health problems has led to a large disparity between the health of LGBTQ+ people and other groups. Gaby Pérez examines the effects of erasing minority women, especially Latinas, in health research. Jhovani Zavala analyzes the impact of misinformation on the sharp spread of covid 19 among racial minorities. Our discussion addresses different aspects of misinformation and its implications in the public health of minorities. Such aspects as fake news, under-representation, and the erasure of minorities in prominent issues are all explored within our research.
