The Gender Wage Gap

As time progresses to a more perfect union, women’s participation in the labor force has grown significantly. In spite of this increase, there continues to be wage disparages among men and women.  Despite women leading in skills and education, an overall increase in job wage pay and a more inclusive workspace a substantial gap between the two still remain.   However this isn’t to say the gap is gradually on its way to becoming smaller, these factors can contribute among other aspects such as location and social culture as well.

With the induction of more women in the workforce, data is ever changing in reflecting the involvement and impact in regards to their existence.  According to the Washington Post, more women are enrolled in college holding 56% to men.  In addition to this, respectively women also lead in college graduates and obtained degrees.

In the United States alone, women earn on average .77 cents to every dollar a man earns.  Varying from location, roles, responsibilities and experience, the outcome is still the same.  Even though the differential seems quite small, studies show how disparages become more apparent over time.
